circulation and parking improvement Project

Land & Structure provided land surveying and civil engineering for the redevelopment of the parking and traffic circulation in the Pinecrest Recreation area on the Stanislaus National Forest.

This project involved the reconstruction of parking areas, roads, drainage systems, pedestrian walkways, and wayfinding signage, updating the popular facility for future generations to enjoy.

Multiple agencies were involved in the development of this project including the Forest Service, Tuolumne County, Pacific Gas and Electric and the Federal Energy Regulation Commision. As one of the most popular local recreation destinations with cabins, campgrounds, day use areas, lake activities, mountain biking and winter and summer uses, there was a broad range of design considerations taken into account during the development of this project.

We were also able to sneak in the first roundabout in Tuolumne County!
