Land & Structure provided land surveying, civil engineering and structural engineering as part of the design team for the Firefall Ranch resort project near Yosemite National Park, California.

Set on 150 acres of historic cattle range land containing the Smith Station Meadow, this project features central common area amenities and dispersed bungalow style accommodations. The siting of structures and amenities was carefully woven through the existing mature Oaks and Pines to maximize privacy, and views of the natural surroundings.

Developing a resort of this size in a remote location required designing and constructing independent utility systems including water and sewer treatment, solar PV systems, backup power generation, propane gas storage and distribution.

Our structural design team worked closely with the project architect, Unum Collaborative, and the Owner/Contractor Boyer Construction to deliver structural designs that achieved the architectural vision while ensuring ease of construction.
